It has been 9 years since that fateful day that changed all of our lives forever. 9 years that families have had to live without loved ones. Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and friends who are sorely missed at the dinner table, the school concerts, soccer games, holidays, graduations and countless other events. They were not there. 9 years of airport security that now makes us take our shoes and belts off, place all personal items including liquids into bins to slide through an x-ray machine. 9 years since the ‘security level’ is defined by a color code and passengers are questioned if they packed their own bags and if they have remained in their posession. 9 years the United States has been engaged in the war on terror with nightly newscasts giving us the daily update on its progress. 9 years since the towers have stood as a landmark of the New York City skyline only to grace the skyline no more. It has been 9 years that has changed everything. We all remember where we were 9 years ago today and it is important that for those who do not, we tell them. Everyone should share our experiences no matter how insignificant they may seem. 9/11 is our history and we all must learn from it for those who do not learn from it are condemned to repeat it and I for one do not ever want something at horrific as 9/11 to ever happen again!
God Bless America and peace to all!
