Do you have any New Year’s resolutions? Do you start each new year with goals, aspirations & a to do list? I have been a victim of my own grand plans. Every year, I find myself having the same resolutions without much success from the years before. Healthy eating, exercising & getting organized. It is said to do the same thing over & over & expect a different result is insanity. From my own experience, I say it’s a recipe for failure. Yes, I have had some level of success. By the end of the year, my resolutions are a distant memory. I am determined this year to do things differently.

While the goals are similar, my execution of my resolutions won’t be. I will write down in detail things I want to achieve & then check them off as I finish them. Instead of looking at my resolutions for an entire year, I am focusing on monthly successes. Whether it’s cleaning, organizing, exercising or healthier choices, it’s little successes that add up to larger goals.

I have given myself the tools for progress assembling supplies, tools & resources I will need. I do not want to be distracted looking for these things when I should be tackling a closet or drawer. All the gadgets & gizmos to make exercising easier or cleaning more efficient, I will now use them. I vow not to buy the latest & greatest thing, expecting that having it in the house makes it happen. I will document all those Amazon purchases that happen because I saw something awesome on an influencer’s post.

My 2026 New Year’s resolution is to be more mindful, purposeful & productive. Will I be posting my successes 12 months from now? Time will tell. I am going to start by looking at the next year as small accomplishments versus one large goal.

Happy New Year & wishing you a successful 2026!
